Is there any truth that using a $20 dollar bill in the slot is better than inserting a $1 dollar bill?

Destiny asked:

For increasing your odds of winning? I know they are called one armed bandits for a reason…But I have read so much conflicting info when it comes to winning on slots. So say there is a method other say no…Some say they have microchips, that determine an outcome others say no…Some say it’s luck other say no…I have read that all machines must legally comply with a payout ratio of anywhere from 75%-90% (does that mean that there ARE wired to payout at certain times?) What gives? I mean I know a woman that goes twice a month and spends $100 on slot and walks out of there with $500 almost every time…and then you see people that never get a payout?

No, my friend won $16,000 with a $1 play walking to her room.
I won $2,300 playing quarters - killing time. I do not think the machine cares about the denomination of the bill just that you spend money. I rarely walk away without a win but my husband rarely wins - we spend what a nice dinner, movie & hotel stay(they comp hotel bill for us) would cost us & then go home. Never take more than you can lose with you. We find it fun but not neccessary to win.

I dont think so but I’m sure the casino will like you because you are spending more of your money they would hope everyone who came to their casinos would stuff $100dollar bills down the machines throats

  • Eko Says:

No, there is no truth to that.

A $20 slot machine will give better pay odds than a $1 machine, but it doesn’t matter how much you put into each machine.

  • my love Says:

There is no truth of winning more if you put different demoninations in a machine, what does make a difference is the fact that it does take more time to put 20 one dollar bills into a machine and play rather than a 20 bill. So nevertheless you are saving more money.

twenty dollars is way way worse. it is twenty times faster to put in one twenty dollar bill than it is to put twenty one dollar bills or coins in. the faster you play the better for the casino.

    Hello,
I’m a casino manager and i will try to answer you questions.
Slots are called one armed bandits because when they were first introduced it was a mechanical operation which caused a spin by pulling a big leaver on the side of the unit. Hence one armed.

The slots today have what is refer ed to as eprom chips that govern what the unit does. One of the eprom chips will contain a random number generator, this produce a number that corresponds to a position on the reels and gives the reel combination of symbols.

The eprom chips control the % for the units and these chips are regulated in a very strict manner.

If you put your money in slot and play max bet + max credit the % on the unit changes slightly.
