What do you think? Is it just pure luck to win in slot machines, right place at the right time or is there a strategy to winning?

It is 100% luck, but there is a certain strategy you should follow to help cut down on the house advantage.
Always play the max coin. The whole idea of a slot is to hit the big jackpot. On most machines, you need to wager max coins per line in order to hit the big prize.
My best advice is to not play slots, but if you really love them then play the max coin. Good luck!!

100% luck.
There are ways to play slots which will make you a bigger loser by taking a -EV situation and making it even more -EV but there is no way to win at slots using skill.

Its pure luck, they have a payout percentage.
you just have to watch how much other people are putting into the machine and then if it hasn’t paid out in a bit it means that it is due to pay out soon.
I think most pay out every 8 spins (on average)
You want to go upto it when It hasn’t been paying much money out for a while (so it’s due for a large payout), and also when its been a few spins since the last payout.

It is possible to lose less money by betting different amounts, or selecting different machines, but the only way to gain an edge on slot machines is to know the return and only play a progressive machine that has an unusually high progressive jackpot that tips the odds into your favor, this woudl require skill i supose
